As part of its Fairtrade Certification, Legend International (makers of IndoPro) has significantly improved factory facilities, creating a safer and healthier work environment for its employees. In line with Fairtrade Standards, the company is committed to gradually increasing wages and enhancing working conditions for sports ball workers. Each Fairtrade-certified factory elects a Fairtrade Premium Committee, which ensures the Fairtrade Premium—an additional 10% above the export price—directly benefits workers. Through democratic decision-making, workers have used these funds to establish childcare facilities near factories, ensuring a safe space for their children while they work, thereby reducing the risk of child labor and exploitation. Additionally, free computer literacy courses have been introduced for both workers and their children, fostering education and skill development for a brighter future.
